The Journey Continues !

Friends,

Its been a long time since i last updated my blog, and we want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for the love care and support that you gave us last year 2009 in July and August when our precious Daughter Melanie went to be with the Lord , we are so thankful for all that you did. We just want to encourage you with this scripture Job 1:20-22, and also 2 Sam 12:19-23, and let you know this is not our Home and we are Guests , and that one day to all those who believe , we will go and be with our Father and we are all looking forward to seeing our Daughter again , so be encouraged and keep up the good fight !

We had a privilege to visit this last year the US and our home Alabama (Birmingham ) and we spent our time with our kids , visited several friends, enjoyed Christmas and also visited the place where Melanies old house was kept , Mark our 8 year old , had a tough time , but it was good for him to know , and Martha our 4 year old could not get it very well , but she was fine after some time.

We have enjoyed seeing what the Lord is doing in our lives and the impact in many communities in Uganda ! we have few Friends who are visiting to be Missionaries with Bridge Africa International Jay and Allen and we are looking forward to spending this year with them every day as we help coordinate all the Teams that will be visiting with us this year 2010. Be on the look out for our new web site coming up this year and for the updates.

We thank God for Asbury United methodist Church and for their love for what we are doing in Uganda and we are looking forward to seeing few friends from there in July led by Suzanne Owen.

Will be giving more updates as we have taken long without updating our blog, we love you and pray for you all every day !

Melanie off to Alabama !

Friends, today just sen off Melanie , Sarah and the Nurse, we had a great time at Church as the whole Church stood and trusted God for healing and sending her off in Power, the family visited and they prayed for Melanie, we are so grateful for all the prayers that many people have prayed, we thank God that Melanie was eligible to fly as she was cleared by the Doctor .

Am staying home with Mark and Martha , and preparing for the days when i was a bachelor, friends keep praying.

We thank God for all our Friends in the US who God has used to help Melanie get a better life, thank you Life Line Children services for your love and care, Mr. Mark Bond thank you for your wonderful net work, and Doctor Robert Dabal of the University of Alabama Medical Center, and many people who have been involved in making every detail come together, we are praying that the God of Heaven will bless each one of you.

Will be getting you more details as we go along , for now i have to plan to put Mark and Martha to bed .

UP DATE ON MELANIE

Friends,

Thanks for praying, Melanie, Sarah and the Nurse will be traveling to Birmingham Alabama, this Friday , where Melanie will get to see the Professor of Pediatrics, be praying fo rthem as they travel, and the time they willbe gone, that His Name will be Glorified.

We left the Hospital by faith, we have been home for the last two days, it was like a Miracle, friends the air you breath is a miracle, we noticed that more clearly when Melanie was on support Machine, we pray that he will take charge even if they have to do the surgery, we feel as parents its the best thing to do for her to have a better life .


We need your support in all possible ways, prayer, finances , visits will be very appreciated, will get you the contact information for Sarah while she is in Alabama.

Will be staying home, with Mark and Martha, and will be the Dad and Mom, but we dream to visit them before they return home, with smiling faces.

Thank you for all your efforts ,love , care that you have showed us during this testing time, we hope and pray that the lord will use this time to his Glory.


On another note , we have few teams coming through, we have the Generation adoptions, on ground, just saw off one family that has just adopted a child from here, and we have Rocky Peak coming in two weeks, the New life Church from Gahana Ohio, the Carolines Promise team, and teh first Presbytarian Church Houston, we thank God for all those people that have dedicated their lives to serve Jesus in Africa.

Update on Melannie

Hello Friends,


We thank God for the last few days, we are still at the hospital, Melannie got Malaria and a very high fever, and throwing up, in the last few hours , but she is doing much better after getting the treatment, feeding well, and get better , am not sure when we are leaving the hospital , i hope soon, but the most important thing is for Melanie to get better.


We are still trusting the lord to take her for surgery, also trusting the lord for a Miracle, any body there who knows a cardiology surgeon , we would use your help, we would love to take her to the US for this.

Its getting late after mid night and i have to have few hours of rest , will write more tomorow.

Melannie wired with Oxygen !!

This is when Melannie was still on Oxygen , keep praying for her , your prayers will make a big difference, confess Jeremiah 29;11 in her life ! keep praying for paper work

Melannie off Oxygen, keep praying for the paper work fir Surgery.

Friends, we thank God today that we wake up to a miracle, atleast Melannie is off Oxygen and pray that the air we breath, will sustain her till our Lord comes back.

This means that she may not need Oxygen when we flys for the Surgery, friends pray for another Miracle, that when they go for the surgery the Doctors will do another Echo, and find out that she may not need SURGERY, if she does then the lord will take over the Surgery. wait for a photo before the oxygen was off.

Melannie 23rd July 2009 update

Friends, Today its been another long day , we thought Melannie would get off the oxygen , but she is still on Oxygen, she had trouble with Taking Milk , and breastfeeding, scarely , but we kept on insisting to give her milk. I return home, and it was about 11;30PM, recieved a call that they needed some medicine, you will note that the Hospital which happens to be the main one, does not have many medicines, so you have to buy them from out side the hospital.

Drove past Mid night, and had to get that medicine, had to help her Mom , to put her to bed, she had little milk, just returned , her mom and Penina are staying at the hospital tonite, its another Miracle, that we are okay , be praying for tomorow !!!

Pray for the paper work, visas and tickets, we really need to see the specialist, asap. we love you all, see you again tomorow!!!

Melanie Medical update

Hello Friends,

Its been a very tough week, with our little daughter (Melanie falling sick) we took her to the hospital, just to get an Echo report that she has a heart Problem , parents you know very well, that this can be very disturbing news!
She was at that time breathing badly and they used am Amburance to take her to a Major Hospital in Uganda called Mulago, you guys who have been here know that very well.

Her condition can not have surgery from here and we had to trust the lord for a miracle to come and get help for her, she was in intensive care for almost three days all wired with the computer showing the state of her life , can you imagine?? our God is a Big God, even when its very tough.


Giving her milk was tough, she could cry for help, look at Daddy , but could not help her, Her mom found it hard to carry her to breast feed!

We shared with couple of friends, and we thank God for Sarah from North Caroline, she wrked so hard, so is Debbie from the same state , God has used them in a special way.


As we speak now, the lord has provided a specialist from NYC , and we are waiting for the paper work , pray for the tickets for Sarah, Melanie and the Nurse or someone who will help Sarah as she travels with the Child, i will not be joining them immediately , but later in the year after taking care of Teams coming will plan to join them and see what the lord has done.

Be praying for the time before surgery, that Melanie will be okay, pray for Mark and Martha, that they are encouraged in the lord.

Hello Friends , sorry for taking long, as you can see we have been very busy with the New addition Melannie Tricia Mulungi !!! on top of that, we have been very busy with Mission Teams, Cornerstone New United Methodist , church, Carolines Promise, few families coming for Adoptions, its been a joy this Season to see Groups coming to Africa to serve in the different areas and communities to serve.

We are looking forward to the next one month, full of activiites and looking forward to my up coming trip to the US , in December/ January 2010, please watch this space, more information coming your way !!

Uganda !!!

Its been a long time, since we last updated you all, lord has been very good, he has provided protection . This is a year of growth and our Pastor has been talking about it (Pastor Peter Kasirivu) and we are trusting the lord to grow us spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and our Prayer for you all is that the lord will do the same in all your lives.


This year the lord is giving us a new baby this April and we are very excited about that be praying for us especially for protection and provision.

We are having a busy year at Bridge , with many teams coming to Uganda this year and we are very excited to be able to help with logistics ( Accommodation, transportation , coordination as they come to plug into the different communities here in Uganda)

We are glad to be having this partnership with you all, we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Gaba Community church and Africa Renewal Ministries in Uganda and the many churches in the West , Groups , and individuals.

Our Desire is to serve you as you serve the communities here in Uganda , we love you and pray for you all.

living water in Uganda !

Hey Friends, am busy learning to drive again aftr a Month away from Uganda, we are helping out Staci and Bean Abdulla ( Living water) to settle in Uganda from Next year 2009, they will be here and represent Living water as they reach out in Uganda .


We have been looking for a house for them to live in while they are here, we are almost getting one, check out the hospital, check out the bank, phones, internet , container clearence , and other small details , its been fun.

Am trying to attach photos but as you know the internet here in Uganda is called the world wide wait(www) too slow so just chill out !!!! am still tying to do this.

Back Home !!!!!!

What a great trip we had to the US , with my wife, we are now back to our beloved Nation that we serve and love , its such a joy to meet your children after being away from them for a Month, they are keeping us busy this weekend, be waiting for the photo up dates.


As the year comes to an end, we are looking forward to next year with great expectations, many mission trips to Africa coming up, vision Trips, and communities to be reached for Christ, thank you for all your prayers and open doors that you provided, those who drove us in their cars, hosted us in their homes, opened doors for strangers to come in, shared meals with us, we enjoyed thanksgiving, Elections, enjoyed our time in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and Ohio we look forward to seeing you all next year either in Africa or in the US again.


We pray that you have a great season this Christmas and let his blessings be with you even in this financial crisis.

Hello Friends,

I trust that its getting more cold and cold in most areas !!!! well We seem to be surviving the cold, we are in Houston and hosted by great Friends Pastor Mike and Gina, i had my hair Cut you know what i mean !!!!

We met with Pastor Peter and had a great fellowship with our Friends at FBCH, Met with great Friends Mrs Sherron Watkins, later had Dinner .

We are going this Sunday to FBCH , and Pastor Peter will be preaching in all three services, and Monday we fly to San -Antonio 24th to 27th.

Thank you all for your prayers we feel them every day , pray that the lord opens more doors for Africa. Will get back to you in few days.

Another Great day in Ohio Columbus !

Its been very cold today ,! Had a wonderful time with the leadership of New Life Church, they are planning a Vision Trip Next year 2009, this is very exciting, thank you Brian for making this happen.

Visited of the biggest Football stadium in the US the Ohio State Buckeyes, i mean football not Soccer !!!! you know what i mean???

Looking forward to having a great evening at Brians home, , have an evenning service at their Church and having a great Sunday , we have our flight back to Atlanta in the afternoon, very short flight one and half hour, spend few days with Lisa in Birmigham till the 18th of Nov.

On the Road

Getting ready for a long ride from NC to Atlanta , to meet with Josh, we have just had a great meeting with friends who have a great heart for Uganda, very exciting, planning on coming to Uganda some time on a vision Trip.

Its very cold here, can you imagne me putting on a jacket? as you know my wife is putting on three jackets, tomorow we are flying to Ohio, (Gahanna) and we have been told by great friends that they are coming with winter Jackets at the air port!!! lets wait and see.

We give thanks to our great friends the Penners for their big heart, and they are great people.

Okay i guess i need to pack my bags now !!!

Happenings of the day

Its been a very cold day ! with all the leaves turning Red here, its all colored, visit with Pastor Josh from Salem Chapel they have a passion for Missions , wooooooooh ! its dark now at 5pm? very interesting and time for Dinner! those who have been in Uganda you know what i mean !


Meet with Sarah Ledford, great Passion for Africa, excited about there potential visit next May for a vision trip !

We leave tomorow for Atlanta , through South Carolina ! to Spend some time with Josh another great friend.

Its been fun spending time with our friends here in Clemons, they have introduced me to Face book and now am on blog wooooooooooh!!! let me see how this works !


We leave tomorow to travel back to Atlanta at 4pm , stay with our great friend Josh from Passion, he will be taking us to the air port to fly out to Ohio !
